I was persecuted in The East for the whole of my teenage life. I was very, very different. Undiagnosed ADHD. Depressive interludes. OCD. Borderline Personality Disorder. The urge to don outlandish clothes and make-up in a backward rural town. And now, at almost sixty, I am at peace. And yes, I can say (not shout… I’m British after all!) I Am What I Am.
